Aesthetic Consultation

Start with a conversation, not a treatment

From R65045 min

What it is

A thirty to sixty minute one-on-one with Dr Allison. You'll talk through what's bothering you and what you'd like to achieve, she'll assess your face and skin properly, and together you'll build a personalised plan.

No treatment is performed unless it has been discussed and agreed. Some patients leave with a plan staged over months; some leave having decided that nothing is needed at all. Both are perfectly good outcomes.

Who it’s for

Anyone considering aesthetic treatment for the first time and wanting an honest medical opinion before committing to anything.

It also suits patients who have had work done elsewhere and want a second view, or who know something bothers them but aren't sure what would actually fix it.

The benefits

  • An unhurried, one-on-one assessment with a medical doctor
  • A clear explanation of what is and isn't worth treating
  • A personalised plan you can act on in your own time
  • Written quote so there are no surprises
  • No pressure and no obligation to book anything
  • Fee is credited against treatment booked on the day

What to expect

The process

Every appointment follows the same considered sequence, so you always know what is coming next.

  1. Dr Allison mid-conversation, hand resting under her chin

    Step 1

    Your concerns and goals

We start with you talking rather than Dr Allison. What bothers you, how long it has bothered you, what you've already tried, and what you'd like to look like — in your words, not from a menu of treatments.

  2. Dr Allison pulling on a treatment glove

    Step 2

    Facial and skin assessment

Dr Allison assesses your facial anatomy at rest and in movement, and examines your skin quality, hydration and any pigmentation or scarring. She'll show you what she's seeing and explain how it relates to what you've described.

  3. Dr Allison smiling to camera

    Step 3

    Your personalised plan and quote

You'll leave with a plan built around your anatomy, your goals and your budget — including what to do first, what can wait, and what isn't worth doing at all. A written quote goes with it.

Frequently asked questions

The questions patients ask most often about an aesthetic consultation. If yours isn't here, ask us on WhatsApp — we're happy to answer before you book.

  • You talk through what's bothering you, Dr Allison assesses your face and skin, and the two of you build a plan together. It runs thirty to sixty minutes and is entirely a conversation — nothing is done to you unless you've agreed to it.

  • Only if you want to be and it's clinically appropriate. Some treatments can be done immediately after the consultation; others need a cooling-off period or a course of home-care first. There is never any pressure to decide on the day.

  • Yes — if you go ahead with treatment on the same day, the consultation fee comes off the cost. If you'd rather go away and think about it, the fee covers the time and the plan you take with you.

  • A list of any products you currently use on your skin, details of any previous aesthetic treatment including roughly when it was done, and your medical history including medication and allergies. Photographs of results you like or dislike are genuinely useful too.

  • That's the most common reason to book one. You don't need to arrive knowing which treatment you're after — describing what bothers you is enough, and working out the right approach is Dr Allison's job.

  • Yes. Dr Allison will say plainly if she thinks a treatment isn't warranted, isn't right for you yet, or wouldn't achieve what you're hoping for. Talking a patient out of something is a normal part of the job.
